Greetings and special blessings to one and all.
May God richly bless and keep each of you.

In His Service,

Grover

Hello everyone. We are converting this topic to an up to date functional thread.

Bruce has an idea to move our organization another step in the right direction.

Grover did so well in getting the Greenbo topic moving and with such great interchange, plus with the photo's we wanted to keep the thread alive and moving.

Please read the following very carefully.

Here’s one suggestion of ways to serve other veterans:

We carry in our car and my truck:

• Six to eight 12 bottles of drinking waster. (kept in our plug in cooler)

• A few boxes of fruit bars and packets of Lance peanut butter and cheese crackers.

• A dozen or so packets wash & dries.

• Packets of personal hygiene items that we pick up from ever time we stay in hotels/motes etc. We also have our friends collect the same from their trips.

• We keep gift certificate for McDonald’s and Burger King one dollar gift certificate. We found a McDonald’s and a Burger King manager who will give 10 of these a month.

• We also buy 10 -10 ride bus passes every month.

• When we come a cross a vet in need we share with the what we feel would meet their short term needs.

• My wife all so carries some female hygiene items, because we are seeing more and more homeless female veterans.

Thats a big Hoo-ah from me. Sounds like a plan.. Hope every thing works well. Here is some more info if it affects anyone else.. If you are a state employee, you get a better rate than you do military or Fed. My wife is a teacher so she gets the state rate. We go over to Land between the Lakes, Kenlake Stake Park,,thats close to where my son is going (Murray State University)..Also close to Ft Campbell Army Post.
Freddy good fishing there.. haha

Later guys

The update I promised. I called and talked to Jill in group res. She said the group rate was no cheaper than the Senior or military rate.

The week day rate is $69.28 and the weekend is $78.82, this is with sales tax included. You will get a full refund if canceled 7 days before your arrival date.

She said if there were any questions, just call them, the toll free number is on their website posted above.

May God richly bless and keep each of you.

In His Service,

Grover

Greetings and special blessings to one and all.

Is anyone else thinking about going on this trip??

Here is who we have so far, if anyone has changed their mind, please copy and repost with your name taken off.

Freddy & Bubba
Grover & Joan
Bruce & Julia
Ron & Rebekak
James W Jenkins Jr.

Ron, have you been able to check with Rebekak's school to see if she can go with you??

Are the Daves planning to join us, if so can you please add your name. I know on the other thread you all had stated you would like to join the group.

How soon do we start making lodge reservations? The sooner to better since this is a holiday weekend, they will fill up faster than normal.

What are the exact dates that we are looking at?? I think May 30 is on a Saturday.

Dick Tracy, are planning on joining us, we would love to have you??

May God richly bless and keep each of you.

In His Service,

Grover

Ron, I do not think in this case it is one of those answers. Bubba was born ahead of time and had to stay in the hospital for 3 months I think. This is the reason Freddy stated his age the way he did.

There are still no answers to my questions about the trip.
