I am relocating back to Colorado Springs where my husband is stationed one he returns from deployment after the first of the year. We have always lived on post, but this time we want to live off, since we know the area a little better having lived there for 18 months prior to deployment. I am wondering if anyone knows of any good property management companies in the area. Also, I am looking to relocate in the middle of January, at what point should I contact the rental company. I don't want to be paying rent in two places at once and want to sign the lease as soon as I get there and move right in. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.

if your looking for a house-google property managment companies-im assuming you know where you want to live. If your looking for a appartment-most of the complexes are accustomed to dealing with the military and i know guys who are coming back from deployment often get appartments set up ahead of time so you shouldnt have any trouble finding something. Depending on when your husband is coming back-im not thinking right now of anyone we have due in in January-you might want to wait til mid februarish if you can-alot of stuff should open up then since there are two BCTs going out in the march to april time frame.

Thanks. I did google, I was really just looking for reccomendations. I want to be sure I don't pick a bad one. Apartments are what we are trying to avoid if possible so that is the very bottom of the list. He is coming home in January/February he is with a small BN and not one of the 4th ID units. I am thinking that if I start making contact mid December I will be able to move in on January 21st like I want. Anyone have any experience here?
