i am thinking about switching rates from OS to SK. Does anyone know the process of getting that started and how hard it is to switch? any advice is appreciated. thanks.

Why do you want to switch from OS? Did you get OS A guranteed? If you haven't been an OS long maybe stick with it a little longer. Good luck.

First of all, neither SK or OS are rates, they are ratings. SK3 and OS3 are rates.

So, now that we got that straight:

1) You promised the CG you would be an OS for 29 months after graduation from A-School. You are just a tad bit short of that. Waivers of even a month or two are very, very seldom approved.

2) Don't need to mention a whole lot more, becuase you will either forget it, r it will change in between now and then.

Just in case you don't change your mind after completing your obligated duty as an OS, you should start by asking your OS1 or OSC.

Naturally, no explanation of process is provided, which is where your OS1, OSC, or YN's can come in.

The needs of the service will determine how easy or hard your switch in rating will be, so there's no defenite way to determine how easy or hard it will be.
