I am #24 on the May 07 list for E-7. Now it looks more like I am 16 or so because of people that have already advanced, switched to IS or whatever. What is everyone thinking as far as studying for the May 08 for E-7, that is around where I am at? Last year I was already digging into the pubs by now. Any input?

The MCPOCG sent out an email that was also posted on Freds Place saying he expects this year to be a normal advancement year and has not seen or been told anything different. So Yes, I am number 31 on the list which actually comes out to #23 if you take away everyone who has made it already or is now going to be an IS. I am in the same boat. Keep your fingers crossed!! Cool

It's simple:

1. If your below the cut, then you study.

2. If your above the cut, then congrats.

3. If there are no cuts, then refer to #1.

I'm number 27 after doing the same revisions. I'm studying now, because until the cuts come out there is no gurantee.

There shouldn't be but who knows, two years ago I was trying to answer K-9 questions on the OS SWE. I bet the one or two OS1's who are actually K-9 handlers were very happy to see those questions!! Wink

Heard from relialbe source..

There will be basic Intel questions on the SWE, nothing a competent 1st shouldn't know.

I was just making sure i didnt have to go through all the Intel manuals and dig deep for studying purposes.

As always - the questions on the SWE will be taken DIRECTLY from the effective EPQs. Take a look at the EFFECTIVE EPQs for this May's SWE.

Are there any INTEL related EPQs?
Are there any LE related EPQs that would require you to know about K-9s?

I will guarantee you that there will not be one single IS related question on our SWE.

I see Telecommunications, SAR, Physical Security, Comsec, Marine Safety issues, Maritime le incident..No INTEL as MC stated.

I also do not see any type of RD epq's on there as well.

those new PQS's are not for the 08 SWE. The ones we should be studying for will have Intel questions on it. One more time for May SWE w/ intel questions. Good luck to us all, and GOD SPEED!

See, Hector has falling victim of my traps enough time that he thinks carefully now. He probably noticed I captilized EFFECTIVE and then asked jade the date. He also noticed I didn't say 'no INTEL,' I said no IS questions. He probably looked at the EFFECTIVE EPQs and noticed that there are INTEL EPQs on them and thus, questions taken from those EPQs could be on the SWE!

Good Job Hector!
