I think that the initial cut will be no more then 10, then hopefully it will be revised a few more times..also I heard that the cuts may be held up cause of the ME rate until they figure who is crossing over and all. Just my thoughts..I hope they make at least 29 but I am not sure..and from what I was told OSC's are a dime a dozen...Not good.
Um, no. Besides everything else going on, there will only be enough time to address two more months of advancements, so changes this late in the list are always pretty silly anyways.
Well I was expecting the cut to be low but NOT that low. I understand that the ME rate is effecting things but I really didn't think that there were going to be that many OSC's going ME. I can now only hope for the best but prepare for the worst and get ready for May
In your opinion, does the cut of 5 for OSC and 0 for both OSCS and OSCM indicate that this year is going to be slower than last year for advancements at the OSC and above level.
The cuts as they are indicate nothing expect a bit of fear and confusion of how the ME Rating and budget stuff may affect our rating and the CG as a whole. Senior pay grade advancements are normally affected a great deal by the assignment process, where folks choose to retire instead of taking orders, so it will be a while beofre we know what is happening.
I really hope its 18 because I dont not want to transfer twice. I would really like to go where I am going and stay there, or even compete for my paygrade that I will transfer as. But who can complain as long as I advance.
Now that the selection panel results are complete, all we have to do is wait on the new budget approval and the PCS slates to see if an updated message regarding May 09 SWE cuts gets approved.
