But this is nothing more than lip service: the Iranians are still enriching uranium - while the Russians are delivering fuel and restarting construction on Bushehr. And that, in the end, will undermine Russian security as well as ours.
This is an unsurprising result of what happens when you label the guys that came to us "hat in hand" to make a deal (post 9/11, after helping us prepare for Afganistan, amongst other things) as part of the "axis of evil" and directly threatening them (we, in their shoes, would do exactly the same thing).
This also reminds me of when the president said that he (after initially meeting Putin, paraphasing here) "looked into (Putin's) his eyes and saw his sole...". What did he see and when did he see it (the world wonders!)?
On a side note, there are the inconvienient issues of: the Iranians being fully within their rights to refine uranium as signers of the Nuclear Non Proliferation Treaty; and, this president knowing they stopped thier military nuclear program well before harping on the Iranian threat of "WWIII" (that giant sucking sound in the background was the last bit of credibility the administration has vanishing into thin air).
The Heritage Foundation has been supportive of many initiatives taken on the part of this president only to see disaster after disaster come of it. At least Ken Adelman stopped offering them advice (maybe one day they will too).
