Since the end of the Korean conflict anything that came out of the mouths of North koreans I've taken with a grain of salt, they are experts at the game of BS.
In the end, all U.S. moves must support a verifiable process that ultimately uncovers all of Pyongyang's programs, neuters its nukes and puts an end to its problematic proliferation.
And the interesting thing is that we won't know all or any of that set of qualifications until AFTER G.W. Bush leaves the white house... and he knows it too.
This could be a breakthrough, but it could also be a line of Bull meant to make it seem like progress has been made. Time will tell.

Tell you one thing, I'd rather be where you are than anywhere NEAR the Middle East. If you stay there you will most likely bounce your grandchildren on your knees. If you go to Iraq or Afghanistan you may not have any knees left to bounce them on, or worse.
All in all, I'd say you should feel MUCH safer... and grateful.
