Syria is a military munchkin, still smarting from the loss of the Golan Heights in the Six-Day War in 1967 and its humiliating 2005 withdrawal from Lebanon. It's struggling economically and has seen its stature in the Arab world sink precipitously due to its chummy ties with Iran (which aims to dominate the region at the Arabs' expense).
This is the standard opinion of most everybody about Syrian capabilities military, and economic.
Yet Huber and other providers of the 'straight dope' would have us believe they can not only "massively" resupply Hezbolleh across a smashed infrastructure into a country brimming with eyeballs, but also they can also get started on one of the most costly, technology-demanding and time-consuming weapons processes we know of? Not only that, but they have the temerity to roll their outdated soviet tanks up the east side of the Golan to shake spears at the Israelis?
Where are they, a country on the bones of their butt we're told, getting all the resources? That other arsenal of tyranny, and virtual bankrupt, Iran? Brookes and the gang might suggest Aladdin's wonderful lamp, but they know not even the dopey would buy that.
At last! Iraqi WMD has been located...the same nut jobs that gave us the pre-invasion WMD "intel" now give us the perfect "actionable intelligence," throw in a dash of North Korean nuclear material and we've now got all we need---launch the B-2s on the "Axis of Evil!"
PS Osama Bin Laden, his headquarters, the place where he trains and plans attacks is not on the target list...good. Boy am I glad we've got our priorities right, thanks, Shooter (Cheney)!
