Today I enlisted as a 21C! I leave for "Lost in the Woods" on February 2nd, and I can't wait....outside of leaving my wife and son behind. I will be a Reservist, and hope to apply for OCS sometime after I return from OSUT.
Feel free to flame, encourage...whatever. Essayons!
Thanks Quick! Hey...keep through your process and you'll get there too.
My best advice to anyone is to be vigilant with their enlistment process and agressive. It took me just over 6 months due to a crappy recruiter and a waiver, but here I am. I have a great recruiter and an incredible opportunity ahead of me.
I visited Ft. Sill today, and I must say....I am feeling down-right motivated. OSUT and any other training are going to be challenging and a bit frustrating, but I got to see the end result today....and that is motivating. I can't wait. I am almost thinking I should have chosen AD over Reserves, but we shall see.
Good luck Oakley, i also leave for Lost in the woods around then (the 4th) and im going 21b so i'll be with ya for the OSUT as well... Have fun and Good luck!
This is MAOakley and I am back! Graduation for our company(I will assume fox was in my company since we were the only engineer company that would have picked up around then)is actually May 22. I have to reclass from 21C due to being placed on a permenant profile. However...I at least graduated BCT. Still proud to have been there with D Co, 35th EN BN. I may have to find another 21 series MOS....after all I want to "pin the castle on my collar".
I heard of a few companies doing CWST(Combat Water Survival Training), but we did not...even though we were scheduled for it. So....I guess the answer is....could be.
