Very few.... the only one I know about personally is the 478th Combat Engineer (mech) out of West Virginia. Met up with them in Camp 93 in Feb of 03.

I dont think there any combat engineers in the reserves....that may have been a guard unit you met. The reserves dont have any combat MOS's just combat support. The only people that have combat MOS's are active duty and National Guard.

Think again. The 478th is Army Reserve based out of Fort Thomas , KY in the Brooks and Lawler Army Reserve Center (yep I messed up on which state, but I'm 800 miles away from there) They are lucky since they only spent 5 months last call up while the rest of the folks they were with did 15. |

Used to be a bunch of 'em in the Reserve Training Divisions (Drill Sergeants). I left the 98th in 2000, but there should still be a bunch hanging around.

I was a 21B in the Nat. Guard. My battle buddy at basic was a 21B in the Reserves. Last time I spoke with him, he was a recruiter now.

There are Army Reserve Combat Engineer Units all over the United States. I have served in units in Texas, Tennessee, Mississippi & Pennsylvania. You will find Engineer Units in every Regional Readiness Command (RRC) in the Army. If you need help identifying units, let me know. |

SFC E!!, is operations that boring that you are surfing the mil.com? You should come back to USAREC, there will be a slot in the North Hills for you in about 1 year! Army Reserve in Washington State has FIVE Combat Engineer units, and WAARNG has THREE of them...
8 Total Combat Engineer units, however, Bridge units are only one in WA that I know of and that's for USAR, just thought y'all may be interested... And Oregon has several Combat Engineer units both Guard and Reserve, including Marine Corps Combat Engineer units in |

I used to be in the 841 Combat EN BN in Miami, now I am in the 758th Combat EN CO in Perrine (S. Miami).
Combat Engineer units all over the place. Just because they are reserve doesn't mean no combat. When I went to Iraq the first time in March 03 at the start of the war with a trans company, we saw more combat than the AC units in our Brigade because they made us do all of their work. |
