So here is the deal. I am a 21 year old male, currently have a great career in the oilfield, but I have always wanted to become solider, and even though the money is great where I am at. I need to do this for myself. I just received my private helicopter license. My future goal is to become an Army Aviator. However, I am still entertaining the idea of enlisting first into some type of engineering position. What type of position would employ real world engineering skills, still see combat, and prepare me for finishing up an engineering degree? I would also like to become a Ranger because I am very high paced. Thanks for any help.
Also could some one give me a run down on what a combat engineer does? I know it ranges, but what factors decide what you are doing?
