Well, when it comes to South American despots and how they operate, Ollie, you're the expert. BTW... how are the Contras doing these days? Still dealing in drugs?

bwf27 reminded me of the Iran-Contra scandal and Ollie's role in it. He seemed so willing to deal with Iran back then... very differently from what he stands for now.

LtC North is dismissive of the capabilities of the soldiers of Ecuador and Venezuela. He is probably right, at least as far as offensive operations go. But Venezuela has the money to support a renewed insurgency and to build his own equivalent of light infantry brigades.

More significant is Brazil. Brazil's Lula is a "kinder and gentler" socialist leader than Chavez. He certainly can't like the precedent set by Colombia's raid into Ecuador, acting with the intelligence and surveillance provided by the U.S. We should not belittle Brazil's ability to wage jungle/guerilla war in Colombia's south.

It would be best if Colombia kept a low profile amd spent a lot of time apologizing for a while. The U.S. will surely do its part in the UN to keep FARC from being elevated to a "government in exile". Last I heard, ther is still a large part of Colombia in which they are the de facto government.

TERRORISTS ARE TERRORISTS ARE TERRORISTS. The Confederate States Of America were terrorists against the USA during the Civil War. Had the CSA defeated the USA in the Civil War then General Sherman was a terrorist.

I may be wrong but it seems to me that there is a thin line which separates a terrorist from a patriot.

North's presentation made horse sense until he stated Obama,s name was found in a terrorist's computer then North became North again.

North is the mouth piece of the Zionists and other war mongers. I respect North's Vietnam experience but he became entangled with Reaganites and Contra and forgot he was a MARINE.

To become a USA Marine North had to,"promise to protect the Constitution of the United States of America from enemies within and without".

We live in a compound, complex, insane, world today where ethnic cleansing takes place every day and we see ethnic ethnic cleansing on our TV. The USA is seen as a terrorists for our actions in Iraq and Afghanistan.

The only thing I know for sure is:
SEMPER FI AND GOD BLESS AMERICA

Nutty piously has his serf write:

"..American States who have criticized the Uribe government in Bogota for last week's raid into Ecuador ought to carefully weigh the evidence before granting moral equivalence to a raid against a terror group and the overthrow of a democratically elected government."

Oh it gets better:

"Given the dramatic demise of these terror-leaders, it should also be apparent that those who provide refuge and support for terrorists will eventually be found out. That's a lesson that Venezuelan strongman Hugo..."

Nutty you've got to have your ghostwriters crack a real book on you, not those shrill shells some rich nutjob purchases by the truckload. Chiefly your self-styled gap-toothed "holier than thou patriot" schtick is jarringly at odds with reality. So stick to what you do know, not patriotism, rather your great depth and strength in a large variety of criminal acts you committed ad naseum--as an officer--on active duty--in violation of your oath of office and the laws of this nation you pretend to love.
