Does anyone know anything about the Marine Corps possibly phasing out 0351s; Infantry Assaultmen? Or how they're being trained today at SOI. I just recently heard that they're no longer teaching the assaultman course at division schools on Camp Margarita.

They have been saying that since i went through SOI. My last batch of boots we picked up had 51s so they are still training them. We dont use our MOS here in 3rd Mar Div at all though.

My unit just picked up a few new 51's. We've had an increased push on the SMAW's been firing off a lot of those house droppers recently.

Not sure if they are phasing them out but for now they are finding use.

I did hear that they were phasing out the 03 field altogether.......................and replacing them with poop flinging monkeys.............seems no one can tell the difference.

We can tell the difference... the 03's are cuter!

Well if we are to be phased out by poop flinging monkeys, what's going to happen to artillery because I'm pretty sure that MOS hasn't been useful since the Korean War
