Currently I am a 3521 (motor t mech) and been serving in the USMC reserves since May of 2004. In the next quater I will be promoted to Corporal. Currently, I hold a 1st class PFT, 1st Class Swim Qual, and have good pro and con marks. My contract will be up in 2010 and I was wondering if at that time I could reenlist under a different MOS? I would like to be something in the 0300 field, specifically 0313 (lav crewman). My current drill center is in Wilmington, DE, but the one I would like to transfer to when I reenlist, if possible, is in Frederick, MD, which is a LAR unit. If someone could please let me know if this would be possible or not it would be appreciated.. Thank you!

It should not be a problem, but schedule a sit down with your career planner ASAP. The sooner you get educated on the process the better off you'll be.

If you actually live closer to the LAR unit it will make it easier to justify.

Just to throw my two cents in- 0313's are good people. Worked with them for 3 years. You will love it.
