This is the place to post any websites that would be of use to Marines. Such as, but not limited to; Finding Marines you have lost track of, and sites that are of general intrest and help to Marines.

Warning to anyone with spam that would be looking for money........... DO NOT EVEN TRY IT! Oh, and no Porno Sites! Wink

I'll start..... While I have found Military.com

I have also found that Together We Served is very helpful in finding lost Brother's and Sister's. It is a free site, but some areas are only available to paid members.

Sorry Guys and Gurls, but I know longer have the URL for the Squadbay. There are many fine folks there also.

Steve, I like Zaba also and it has helped me from time to time. However, be careful take a look at a search for John Irwin in Va. and the only two that were in fact me are the ones on Raccoon Ford Rd and Mortons Ferry Road, neither of which I have anything to do with in the last five years since I went into stelth mode.

There is a website on Yahoo Groups. If anyone is on linkedin.com, its a site to network with Marines.

It has more to do with networking. I posted it a few weeks back, but here it is again. It also has a page with a lot of other marine Corps links:

Just so Marines do not look stupid when making an argument about something.

http://www.fas.org/man/index.html do not let the .org fool you. It is peer reviewed.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wiki It is all user submitted but a good starting point.

http://www.biggameinfo.com/BalCalc.aspx a great site for exterior ballistics.

http://kepler.pratt.duke.edu/USMCRibbons.html
It may be a little out of date. But it will help ya out when MOL is down.

And for the jock/geek hybrids among us read this book. http://www.amazon.com/Short-History-Nearly-Everything/dp/0767908171

Mod Edit: Removed comma to make links work.

Typical,
Edit your links, if there is a comma at the end of the link, it wont display the page. Thanks

Sites hostile to mil.com forums, will not be advertized or be mentioned on this site. Those sites can take out paid advertizements, if they want to use mil.com.

Subject: Real Made by the Military - Movies Online Available Soon

From Mark Berent

Hope all is well. If you have the chance to forward on this e-mail, we are close to launching a new members-only military history site called www.RealMilitaryFlix.com, the largest military film website on-line. These are real films covering an amazing range of military topics, from WWI to the conflicts of today. Made by the military for the military, these are the kinds of films you'll never see on The History Channel or the Discovery Channel - they are raw, uncensored and sometimes hard-hitting.

We are having a special FREE OPEN HOUSE to partners and friends like you for 48 hours from January 30-31. For the general public we are offering a FREE Grand Opening Limited Three-Day Pass to some of our best films from February 1st to the 3rd.

With the permission of the Department of Defense, I've been able to collect many rare and hard-to-find films during the production of classic TV shows such as Weapons at War with George C. Scott, Sworn to Secrecy with Charlton Heston, and the all-color WWII series The Color of War with Peter Coyote.

We have over 1,800 titles and we've already put 300 of these films online. We hope to open the site with around 500 films and videos. The rest of the library, and even more titles will be added every week. We're pretty excited to finally get this library on-line. The video players can be adjusted so you can watch the films full screen. It's pretty cool.

Our site is now live in BETA MODE if you want to visit before the OPEN HOUSE Jan 30th - Feb 3rd. You can see five films on the home page and the tour now.

Your associates might appreciate a heads up about the FREE OPEN HOUSE and the Three Day Pass, so feel free to pass this along. We are interested in hearing feedback as well!
Kind regards,

John Corry

The Flame of Life has established a Hall of Honor for the heroes who have fought or are fighting in the War On Terror. Please visit their website to view the Wall and to also promote what the organization is doing for our troops!! Your heroes should be on the wall too!!!

Applause

This is where you can find Video's i Make in support of the Marines, It's the least i can do, I respect the hell out of you guys,

Mode Edit: YouTube link removed

This thread is also NOT for YouTube links which have questionable use for Marines. We are thankful for your support but that link is not appropriate for the purpose of this thread. This thread is not about flashy photos showing support, special video creations to further an agenda or general links that are to look at but offer no real support for those looking for information.
