Heh, no $hit. I didn't think I would see another Kilo graduate on here. Hey brother, you and I both know about SSGT. Weller. I aint gonna go into to details here on the boards incase him or his buddies are prowling around. But hey, you know. The stories are real. He is a mean and crazy *******,Lol. He is also cool though sometimes. He and his wife ordered us pizza the last night on the island and we watched a movie, good stuff. Good to here from another Kilo buddy. Take Care.

Hey Rigger... I was at your B-day ball last Saturday night. I hung out with Sgt. Gutherie (white dude in the color guard), and LCpl Bissell. Too bad Cpl. Bleiweiss got out before we could go drinking wearing our blues in LBC.

I think I actualy wouldnt of minded being in 3099 but i guess ill just have to hear more from you

Hey 1971, are you having trouble getting adjusted back to the real world? I'm finding it hard. Is it the same for you or is everything like it was when you left?

It's never the same. The people in your lives before didn't change. You did.

It's really weird. I am not as social as I used to be. Yesterday I tried explaining to my mom that things aren't the same anymore. It's weird, because I know it's me that has changed, but I don't know what it is about me that's changed.

Bwhahahahaha, did she yell at you for eating to fast? Mine did. Big Grin

What you have done is what only a hand full of others have ever done. Remember the TV add that said "The change is forever"? It is.

LMAO!! Big Grin

A veteran - whether active duty, retired, National Guard or Reserve - is someone who, at one point in his or her life, wrote a blank check made payable to "The United States of America" for an amount of "up to and including my life." That is honor, and there are way too many people in this country who no longer understand that - Author unknown.

I hoped you help my units ball fund by buying the Magic Beer Mugs that never go dry. Hell I don't drink and I bought one. 1st as a souvinir 2nd if it ended up getting to roawdy there I could use on the skull of someone.

I have only hear of Bissell but can't put a face to him. Never heard of the other two. Us riggers don't leave to loft much so we really only know a few of the Brigade guys. If you plan on going next year give me a heads up wouldn't mind to meet you in person.

Air squats you have your feet shoulder width apart and you lower yourself with your legs and throw you arms straight up thats the best i can do for you. Do i find it hard to go back into my old life well i can tell i have changed i see things and im like man thats discusting. where i wouldnt of made a big deal about it. How people are are the main thing if noticed

First let me say congratulations and welcome!

I'll give you a little advice my Company 1st Sgt gave us on Graduation morning:

"Don't let this be the highlight of your time in the Corps. Make your own moments. enjoy this time and this feeling you have. cause one day you'll turn around, realize it's gone and miss it. savor this time. no matter how hard things get."-1st Sgt Payson Sept 22nd 1995

He followed this motivational talk by telling us to use condoms or we'd end up with STDs.

As far as things being "different" there's a saying and it rings true in this situation:

You can never go home again.

You can always come back to where you grew up, or whatever, but it will never be the same as it was. your family and friends will look at you different. nobody else changed, you did. 3 months of the everyday routine doesn't change the people around you, but 3 months of MCRD will change you permanently.

are you sleeping? i remember i couldn't relax in my bed in my home. i got used to being told when to go to sleep. that and i remember all my 18 year old hormones suddenly coming back after not seeing a woman for 3 months. maybe that's why the 1st Sgt told us to wrap it up on graduation morning!
