I am writing a fitrep on one of my Marines. It will be one of his first fitreps and the first from me.

He's a good Marine with quality leadership skills.

So, I have decided to "test" his bearing (so to speak). Many years ago I used to have some off the wall section I comments...

you know...stuff like...Marines follow out of curiosity....goes through life pushing on doors that say pull...

So send me your best phrases and I'll see how many I can incorporate into the RS comments.

Obviously, this will not be the report that gets sent up, just a practical joke...

Mike...

DO you remember a Capt P. and MGySgt J from the Det when we were up there....or they may have come after you left....but the Capt wrote a report....that did gfet sent up...that praised the Mguns for his ability to supervise the leveling of a pile of dirt....

Sloth like movements was also used......it got pretty ugly between those two for a while.....

This is the same guy that wanted me to apologize to Bowmar.....and the entire unit for snatching that little turd from behind his desk and picking him up and holding him against the while....( closest I ever came to total loss of control as a SNCO...)...I didnt apologize.....

anyway......

Here Bro,

"Since my last report, this employee has reached rock bottom and has started to dig."

"His men would follow him anywhere, but only out of morbid curiosity."

"I would not allow this employee to breed."

"This associate is really not so much of a has-been, but more of a definitely won't be."

"Works well when under constant supervision and cornered like a rat in a trap."

"When she opens her mouth, it seems that this is only to change whichever foot was previously in there."

"He would be out of his depth in a parking lot puddle."

"This young lady has delusions of adequacy."

"He sets low personal standards and then consistently fails to achieve them."

"This employee should go far - and the sooner he starts, the better."

"This employee is depriving a village somewhere of an idiot."

Dave...

Don't remember them. I do remember you telling me about Bowmar. He was nothing more than an oxygen thief.

You ever hear from Cullen or Top Dominic?

Here's one that happened earlier...

We have a flight coming in late this afternoon, I called down to find out who was going to meet it.

I get the SSgt on the phone, identify myself and ask my question. According to him normal procedure is to send the Marine to the APOE 6 hours prior for baggage and 3 hours prior for pax.

Told him he is correct for a flight departing, but not for a flight arriving. Apparantly, I am wrong on this (doubtful but he believes I am).

So me being the Texas public schools educated guy, I just had to ask how he is going to meet the baggage 6 hours prior to the scheduled flight arrival and the pax 3 hours prior for a flight that is arriving when both the baggage and the pax are on the same bird that's in the air right now.

Tried to explain that arriving at the APOD 1 hour before scheduled arrival is fine, but I gave up after he started telling me about SOP's.

So, he'll have his Marine at the APOD sitting around for 6 hours today waiting on a bird to land....
