What is the best workout plan to stay in shape on my 10 days leave? I feel like all I've been doing is getting fat again.

Your still crapping out boot food.
Just watch what you eat, eat healthy like subway and such. No fast food. Run every monday wednesday and friday for at least 3 miles. Hit the gym if you have access, if not do crunches and pushups. Run down to your local recruiters office and hit the pullup bar. All/any of this will keep you in shape. |

So you're saying you're fresh out of boot and you don't know how to PT?

It is very probable that you will be doing a lot of humping and running when your leave is over. HINT; HINT!

Do some pullup sets every other day, a couple good hard runs. Cardio endurance is the first thing you lose after prolonged inactivity anyway.
The whole "you must work out on your 10 days leave" that they emphasize in the little SOI/MCT packet is overblown in my opinion. Unless you are literally doing nothing but vegetating and stuffing your face with deep fried sticks of butter for your entire leave, a week and a half off from exercising is really not going to do that much to you. You just completed bootcamp, just relax and do whatever the hell you want. Unless you are getting RA you probably won't get a block leave this long again until the holidays or predeployment. Enjoy it. There will be more than enough PT to make up for it once the green weenie gets its hands back on you in a week or so. |

Enjoy your time on leave. You can eat what you want to eat, just do it in moderation. Run your 3 miles Monday, Wednesday, Friday and on Tuesday, Thursday run 1 mile. Do your daily seven for about 30-45 minutes a day. Do this and you will be fine when you get to MCT/SOI.
