I will be keeping it in my vehicle and hopefully I will be using it in my civilian job as an EMT. I am USAF security forces so I can't see it being use for more than a sqaud when I am deployed. Just looking for good access, comfort and durability. Oh a hydration pack is a huge plus. I just dont have any hands on experience with anything but a big blue civie jump bag. thanks
So it's for you to use off duty? Then don't spend lots of money on a stomp II. How often are you really going to use it, etc.
BH stuff is not that great. There are other vendors out there with better gear AND made in the USA. Stick with a smaller bag, NARP makes some good ones, Galls has some great bags, cheaper price. Doesn't have to be Gucci, just has to be good.
Why do you need a hydration pack in it if it's just going to sit in your car?
Define the mission you want to support, then look at what you REALLY need. Not what looks cool. Don't waste your money.
I'd say actually look at the bags and see which suits you best. For me, a bag that has easy access to all my stuff is best. There are lots of bags out there that are huge and complicated, but when it comes to crunch time, simpler is better. Find a bag that has a layout that you can remember even in pitch black conditions with AN-PSV 14s on so you'll never look like an *** trying to find your stuff.
sounds like for you a BH II may be too big, I have a BH II and its ok tons of space, which can allso be its down fall, gets kind of heavy.
The tag bag looks pretty nice, I've never used one or seen one used, seems like it has a good design and lots of space and pockets to organize stuff.
not to mention its a tad bit smaller, if you know how and what to pack smaller isn't always bad, not to mention if i remember correctly it has molle on the outside to put little add ons which the BH II does not.
not to mention the quick access pockets on the sides of the bag.
If I was going to buy a bag I'd go with the TAG.. But honestly you can find people to custom make you a bag for around the same 300-400 price.
