I have read a lot on here that it's really hard to get the M6 in your contract at MEPS. I would really like to have this identifier as #1 so if anyone has any info on this, let me know. Also about their schooling how long it is and where the schooling is located.

If I can't for some reason get this in my contract, I'm interested in N9(Physical therapy) and P5(Master fitness Trainer). Does anyone have any information about these identifiers, their schooling, how long their schooling is and where its located?

Thanks so much!

I'm not a medic, nor a recruiter, but you would probably have to be in for a couple years and be able to get at least a 290 on the Army Physical Fitness Test before you could become a Master fitness Trainer. Again, I'm no expert, but maybe a medic and someone who is currently in, could clarify everything for you.

I am in the middle of N-9 phase 2 at USMA in NY. Phase 1 is conducted over 17 weeks at Ft. Sam at the schoolhouse. The course is challenging, historically there is a 33% academic attrition rate. Sure enough, we lost about a 3rd of our class. The good news is, there is program in place with Pueblo Community College that converts the completed course into 63 credit hours! Theres just no beating that! Now I just need to find out if those hours are able to be used towards the prerequisites for IPAP. If anone has any info about that, pls let me know.

From what I heard from former M6 students is that it's a very hard course with a high attrition rate. If you don't have any medical background, you're chances of succeeding is going to be very challenging. First you have pass the 68W course which looses a third of their students. If you get through that, then you can go onto M6 course where another third to half is lost. Both courses are condensed and fast paced and your study time is very limited because you'll have other responsibilities besides school.

What is your education background? If you don't hold the prerequisites, that may be why you're having trouble getting it on your contract. In that case you may be better off waiting until you have them.
