So did they release all the soldiers on the weekends or just prior service guys?

Prior service get weekends and IET have bedchecks on weekends.

I'm curious if you were compelled by something in particular to stay off-base on weekeneds?

GreyJarhead, when were you w/VMFP-3?

I was w/VMFP-3 at MCAS EL Toro, 1985-1988. Primary MOS 6334 & Secondary MOS 6314. Before that I was with VMFAT-101, MCAS, Yuma, AZ. I wonder if we ever crossed paths?

Good luck with your time as a Combat Medic, as well as with the AMEDD's M6 program. I do hope you continue on later down the road with an RN program, and possibly the ANC?
