How do i track medical training of my medics so they can re-cert their EMT-B license, is it thru MODS or MEDPROS?

MEDPROS...has to do with the individual medical records.
However, the way it normally works is that you have copies of their current qualifications, which should be kept in that " I Love Me" files I think they were called. The files that you use to council them should have all their copies of present qualifications present. In Fort Benning, when you inprocess; your unit usually takes up all the information and they are actually the ones I think that you would make contact with about when there are classes offered so they can keep up their qualifications. So I am assuming, though I never was in charge over this that your main contact would be the Unit who keeps all the files and who are responsible for organizing the classes etc. I thnk if it were me I would find out specifics about your soldiers in regard to their training, make myself a list and make them responsible to keep track themselves. They often have no idea what they are supposed to do when they come right out of training. However, obviously keep a copy for yourself and when you do your monthly counceling you have your file on them and you can see if they are up to date and if they know when their next class has to be taken, or if they are not you can "remind" them. OPS and Training was our go too personal for those issues. |

You can also check out a group of people by UIC using the 68W module on MODS. The only problem, like all other databases, is that it needs to be kept up to date.
