I personally don't care if you are Diddy or not; it in no way effects my life. However, the moderator team has a specific job to do, and rightly wants to know the reason for these things. They are acting on the behalf of the site owners and need to keep this little corner of the internet running to Marine Corps standards.

Some here also are concerned with your level of integrity (again, this is irrelevant to me). This is not to say that you're lying, but the members of the forum do have a right to know what is going on. The IP address thing is pretty damning evidence.

As others have stated, the admin are being very generous. If they wanted you gone, you would be. Lying or not, it would benefit you to further explain your case. Afterwards, all will be right with the world (maybe), and we can tell you all about blowing stuff up in tanks, or driving those amphibious death-traps called AAVs.

Aslo, whilst spouting advice:

Only YOU can prevent forest fires.
-Be extra careful with flames in the woods.
-Always fully extinguish your campfire.
-Ensure that your exhaust does not drag through brush and high grass.
-Only smoke in your vehicle.
-Immediately report all fires to the BLM phone number posted.

Today's Fire Threat:

That about sums it up.

I'm an old Tread-head that was an 1811 with 5th and 3rd tanks back in the 60s. We crewed on the M48-A3 (90 mm gun tank)and the M 67-A2 Flame tank aka Zippo). Both saw combat in Vietnam. I was fortunate enough to have commanded both types of tanks, and that was a great experience. We also had another tank in the Corps at the time. It was an M 103-A2 (120 mm gun tank),it was more commonly refered to as a "ramp queen". The M103 was more suited for service in Europe or the Middle East so it did not see service in Nam. My experiences as a USMC Tanker was the best that anyone can have. Despite the fact that being a tanker is very hard work, and being in a tank was not the safest place to be during my time (we were often refered to as RPG magnets or iron coffins)I would not trade it for anything. I found tank units to be tight, proud, and agressive. A brotherhood within a band of brothers where courage was common. As a member of the USMC Vietnam Tankers Association I still very much enjoy the company of my brothers at our reunions. I'm also a member of the Marine Corps Tanker Association which is a brotherhood of tankers who served in our Corps during various times as far back as World War II to the present.. Although I have not attended any of those reunions I have spoke with brothers who have and I can hardly wait to attend one of the reunions with these brothers. In conclusion to summarize my experience as a USMC tanker, I can only say it was fantastic. I have had the honor of serving with men who I believe without a doubt qualify as examples of the very essence of what our Corps core values are (Honor, Courage, Committment),and whose daily behavior clearly defined for me the meaning of the word es-prit de corps. In the years since I left the Corps (1970) I have had the honor to have spoke with Marines who presently serve as Tankers in our Marine Corps. I believe that those young brothers continue to enjoy the same experience that I did. Of course why wouldn't they? They to are US Marines. When one serves in the Corps they serve with the greatest military organization in the world, and when you serve as USMC Tankers you serve with those who are among the best of the best.
Semper Fi!
