Vietnam Marine Tanker
Posted
I got tired of seeing "New Fraud Alert" as the last post, so I wanted it to change.

Hey John, just out of curiosity, but does YAT-YAS have any definition or was it just something to use for changing the subject line?

YAT-YAS is always something I've heard Tuna Boaters say. You Ain't Tracks- You Ain't ****. Never heard a Tanker use it.

We don't need to say it; everybody already knows.

I posted it to change the subject.

While I was on active duty from 1966 to 1969, that expression never happened (to me).

The first time I ever heard or read anyone using it was ordies. We all know that ordies need pumping up.

I have a retired 1st Sgt buddy (a fellow Vietnam Marine) who uses it in his signature. He spent almost as much time in Recon but loves tanks better.

Just been busy, Gunny. Seems I'm either moving or activating soon, just have to decide.

Plus, the interwebs have been a little too political lately.

How's Ft. Knox? Any exciting ABV stories?

Knox never changes, been a really cool duty station for me, but I can't wait to leave in April

The starter on ABV-5 took a crap today. Other than that nothing to report.
