My company just got our "new" M1A1s. They are actually refurbished, something I was originally skeptical about. I've heard bad stuff about refurbished tanks. Well, the Mike Golfs have run a bunch of tests on them and the unanimous verdict among them was that they are the best tanks they have ever seen.
After gunnery, we all name our rides.
All in all, it should be fun with these new tanks!
I don't think I'll play a part in the christening of the new tank. Seems like a TC thing. Plus, I'm sure my commander knows that allowing me any part in naming something is a very poor move.

Well I'm glad Anniston did something right. Just blew my remaining operating budget for the FY to by a new FUP. I just received this vehicle back in Sept. from ANAD, 20hrs on it. I'm pretty happy about that.
