I think there is alots of mis-information is the west , the pigtailed china man impression simply is not true , since this pigtailed race is an alien race to our Han chinese people .

I have witnessed that from western media and various computer games , I am pretty concernced about the microsoft game (age of empire ) by whom that four-eye bill gates mistakenly depict our Han people as pigtailed manchu tartaric people . If more books were published in America about Chinese history then we wouldn't have the misconception about Manchurians being seen as Chinese. I don't think it's something so offensive or unforgiveable. After all, the first modern contact with China and the west was during the Qing dynasty, and so we basically started from there. Now most books are either ANOTHER copy of Sun Zi or ANOTHER book about the Terracotta findings.
It's hard to find a book on the Han-Xiognu war akin to, say, the Roman-Parthian war. I don't think China is actually that interested in publishing their books abroad, so our selection stays limited.

I have that book and all in the series. Those are representing Song and Ming era soldiers. I think that the Han era soldiers wore long leather uniforms and no helmets except in rare occasions, premier units, or to denote rank.

First you have to be practical. Develop the desert and fight overpopulation in cities that way. The Israelis built cities where nothing has existed in 3,000 years, and with their own hands. Surely China can as well.

An obviously pro-CCP exhibit came to an art museum a few years ago about the longest reigning Qing emperor. It said that he was one of China's greatest emperors and praised that dynasty. I understand you see more in your history than what was neglected during those times, but the cliche for Europeans and East-Asians is to say that America has no culture. Imagine how that feels - we have the world's oldest government and we certainly have a culture. We have always been very musical and we wouldn't even exist today if we hadn't worked or fought in dire circumstances.

I know the serious , but the photo one is about tang dynasty , the second one is about ming .And Han people actually is not a particualr people from a a particualr dynasty , it is the name of our race . The pronunciation is same as one of our dynasty is purely co-incidence . If you had read book about chinese history you will hearld people saying ( our Han people ) from all dynasties include today

Then this notion of (china) is western term is just a geographic notion which only indicates the people dwell on ruling that land . which has nothing to do with a culture sense . I dont think that USA is cultureless , nevertheless I think it is a melting point of the whole western civilisation . If you know the magazine of home decoration known as ( elle decoration ) , then you know what I mean .
