Horn of Africa: Very near future. As Somalia 'pirates' continue their raids and seizures of privately owned vessels, the action emboldens thousands across the African continent. Inaction and continued payment of ransoms are then the catalyst behind a Worldwide movement of piracy and kidnappings.
Civilization are being brought to a standstill as goods begin to dwindle, economies begin to break down amid the current Worldwide recession. Riots for food and goods begin to mount in most major cities across the Globe. Emergency meetings of the U.N. and U.N. Security Council fail to produce anything but news headlines. Martial Law is declared in many major cities and Nations in order to contain the growing unrest, death, and destruction. Ahmadinejad of Iran is convinced that the Mahdi is returning, that this is the sign, and launches a massive missle strike against Israel, Saudi Arabia, and U.S. Military installations in the Middle East. Then, the Red button is pushed....game over, no winners. |

Well it looks like the Indians have a lot more balls than we. They went and wasted these mother lovin pirates while our Admirals were probably debating the merits of postfeminist instruction throughout the fleet VS cultural sensitivity in dealing with the Iranian Navy.

AMEN TO THAT! The U.S.Military faces two enemies, those we face on the battlefield, and those in D.C. called our Congress and often...Commander In Chief and his Administration. Our Nation was divided once because of 'them' above....it's getting that way again. And again, who will suffer the most...the military. As long as those so-called 'pirates' know they can punk the USA, they will continue to do so and get bolder. Just like the terrorist in GITMO who are released via leftist liberal 'Judges' and immediately return to killing U.S. Military personnel. Those 'pirates' know they've punked the World, since their actions have only grown bolder. Today, I was sitting in a doctor's office waiting room, reading the stack of old Time Magazines. July 08 issue had a story about the Somali Pirates....the UN passed some 'again' worthless toothless resolution about dealing with those pirates. Well, it's now November 08 and we witness only the fact the pirates have grown bolder, more aggressive, and greater in number as the POLITICIANS and LAWYERS of the World sit behind their gated, guarded communities and spout off worthless words of nothing as the rest of the citizens of the World, continue to suffer. And our Military watches criminals go by because of the ACLU.

All we can do is to train hard and suck it up until enemy strength reaches critical mass. Then we have to take the gloves off and we won't be stopped because no politician can let two American cities go up in smoke.
It's not citizens of the world I'm concerned about though. We've either abdicated our role as world empire with this bungling of the Somali pirate situation (which may be a good thing) or we're seeing the results of non-warriors as leaders: a crumbling and incompetent empire. |

Flashpoint Korea Looks like North Korea is pulling one of Hitler's tricks by trying to fabricate an incident so they can 'resume' the 'war' with the South.
"news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20081218/ap_on_re_as/as_koreas_kim_plot_1" "NKorea accuses South of trying to kill Kim Jong Il Thu Dec 18, 8:58 am ET SEOUL, South Korea – North Korea claimed Thursday that it has arrested a South Korean-hired agent it strongly suggested was tasked with assassinating the country's absolute leader, Kim Jong Il. The North's Ministry of State Security said in a statement it had arrested a North Korean on a "terrorist mission" ordered by a South Korean intelligence organization "to do harm to the top leader" of North Korea. The statement, carried by the country's official Korean Central News Agency, did not mention Kim Jong Il by name, but South Korean Unification Ministry spokesman Kim Ho-nyeon said the North's state media has before used such wording to refer to him. Kim of the Unification Ministry, which handles relations with the North, said he was in no position to confirm the report. The National Intelligence Service — South Korea's main spy agency — said it was checking the claim. The sensational allegation comes amid a serious worsening of relations between the divided Koreas as well as intense speculation about Kim's health since he reportedly suffered a stroke and had brain surgery in August. The North has denied its 66-year-old leader was ever ill, churning out a slew of media reports and photographs depicting him as healthy and active. The North's agency identified the arrested man's family name as Ri and said he was tasked with gathering information about Kim's movements. "The organization sent him speech and acoustic sensing and pursuit devices for tracking the movement of the top leader and even violent poison in the end," said the statement, which was also read on North Korean state television. Tensions on the Korean peninsula have run high since a pro-U.S., conservative government took office in Seoul in February with a pledge to take a tough line on the North. Ties worsened earlier this month after the North restricted traffic at the countries' border, leading to the suspension of tours to the ancient North Korean city of Kaesong." With the current economic, military, and political situation with the USA, timing might be seen by Pyongyang to strike against the South. Watch this one closely!! This message has been edited. Besides the Gaza Strip-Israel exploding once again....Pakistan-India rattling their swords at each other.....what may come next is coming out of economic news.
"www.ft.com/cms/s/0/fb228bfa-d385-11dd-989e-000077b07658.html" And a small snippet from this article: Russia braced for unrest By Isabel Gorst in Moscow and Anuj Gangahar in New York Published: December 26 2008 19:53 | Last updated: December 26 2008 19:53 Russia is bracing for further unrest as the rouble on Friday slid to a new low against the euro after a succession of moves to devalue its currency. A cut on Friday extended six weeks of devaluations by Russia’s central bank designed to offset the impact of the global economic crisis and falling oil prices as the country’s main export commodity approached its lowest level since 2004. And who's name is appearing once again: " Mikhail Gorbachev, the former Soviet leader, warned Russia faced “unprecedentedly difficult and dangerous circumstances” and could be “heading into a black hole”. “It is not clear what the fate of our rouble will be or if society has sufficient financial and moral resources,” he said. " Putin has been working very hard to put further restrictions on 'freedom' and arresting any dissidents, seems like the Russian rollar coaster is going around again. Russia seems to repeat it's own history so often. What kind of unrest are they expecting? It would bode well to keep an eye on Russia. Putin will have only a few choices. Take the Russian people's minds off of the economy via a external threat by fabricating or iniating one, open up Russia to Western economic reform, continue to tighten his grip on all of Russia which could preclude a coup or successive series of coups and counter-coups. If we look back at all the great wars in the past you see World War I, World War II, Korea, and Vietnam you notice one thing in common, a democratic leader. World War I Woodrow Wilson. World War II FDR. Korea and Vietnam both started with Truman. People think George W. Bush was a "stupid" "bad" president why don't they look at Harry Truman he started two of the most tragic and failing wars of our history. People may blame vietnam on Johnson but Truman sent 15,000 "advisors" there. I believe the next large war we will be involved in will happen during the term of a Democratic president

1) Some of the individuals there never had any association with any "terrorist" group. 2) "Terrorism" is defined as attacks upon civilian targets in an effort to achieve political goals. Killing military personnel is not terrorism, by definition. |
