Personally my best guess is North Korea, and soon.
Whay? N-Korea is satisfied to blackmail S-Korea and Japan to get food, and US have seend a "strong" message to N-korea then US started to pull back the troops frome S-korea....
Be free to invade N-korea then you have the solution on what to do with millions of desperat refugee from N-korea....
The future is pointing back to Africa, most likely as part of NATO. With much of the continent either at war or as ravaged refuge camps, Africa is the hot spot. I don't see the world waiting much longer; most likely, we will still be dealing with Irag and Afghanistan as the ground troops are being deployed to places like Dufar, Sudan and Somalia.

I think the next war involving the US will be with IRAN. Lately, most news about Iran is how that nation is defiant and continuing on the road to building a nuclear bomb. The US President and many Candidates for that office all say they will NOT allow Iran to have a nuclear weapon. So, war with Iran is only a matter of time.
It wont be N. Korea. China has their little dog on a chain right now and doesn't want to risk being hurt economically just because their little dog got loose. I see an actual conflict being Iran. Although most likely it will be little peace keeping stuff in Africa.
I think Iran. I mean we almost got in a fight with them on sunday with their little speed boat fiasco and if they keep acting like that sooner or later ( but probly sooner) we will go to war with them.
Ever thought it might be internal. Based on have nots vs have gots, legals vs illegals left vs right and all that stuff based on poor economy, bad national health care, who has it who has not and every other reason to cause internal distrust.
It won’t be a war with bullets but it will be a nasty social war that will hurt badly.

When we go to war who do you think it will be with? How long from now before you think this war is going to start?

IRan and NOrth Korean is tough . NOt like iraq , thye will be hard to knock down .
I'm not worried about North Korea. They've been puffing out their chests at us since 1953 and haven't made any real attempts to restart the war (just the occasional crossing the DMZ to cause mischief). I think they know if war resumed they would be wiped out, so they just talk tough (think "Little-man's syndrome").
It will be in the Mid East,Against Nato and its armies for the comming Dictator out of Europe. For his first sights are the oil fields, then africa and its jewels. Then against Israel,he who controls Jerusalem controls the world. The united states will have to back Israel or we are Doomed.
Iran for the nuclear threat thing. Africa-- well, 20% of US oil comes from Africa. If you've been following the news, not the headline BS, but the stories shoved toward the back of the papers, then you'll notice that the US has been enlarging our interest in Africa. Heck, when was the last time the POTUS visited Ghana (or any other "little" African nations when there was not some type of disaster/crisis)?
The USN has been doing "hearts & minds" missions on the western coast of Africa and we've had troops in the Horn of Africa for some time now.
It's only a matter of time before we are OPENLY fighting wars over natural resources (read: OIL).
During the 18th and 19th centuries, the European powers carved-up Africa for their own uses. History will repeat itself. Both China and the US are trying to "win friends and influence people" in Africa.
Speaking of China... They will be the next Superpower to worry about. They have been playing a decades-long game of chess with the world, and are nearing their end-game strategy. One day we will wake up with China having a full "blue-water" navy (complete with carrier-based aircraft) capable of projecting power anywhere in the world. Then they will shut-off their exports/our imports. Then we will be truly F-ed!
After 20-30 years of Mexicans flooding over the border, we may fight another civil war to retake the American Southwest. Europe could also be a problem, with the Muslim population growing and the Caucasians decreasing.
However, in the here and now there is talk about Venezuela cutting off our oil supply. Since we get something like 70% of our oil from them it could cause us to fight them to maintain the supply. Like it or not our society absolutely depends on oil (planes, automobiles & trucks, heating) and having it taken away from us would be disastrous.
If any administration is stupid enough to again make war on Serbia, then we could see a Balkan war that escalates into a full scale confrontation between us and Russia. If NATO starts a war then it would be a good reason for us to leave them forever.

I agree about Africa. The sabre-rattling from the Shrub administration toward Iran is only going to be sabre-rattling, what with his cursed administration coming to an end soon.

Stay tuned, kids-- it's coming.

China's plan is economic dominance, not true expansionism. They'll have that blue-water navy, long-range air capabilities, and carrier and refueling groups, but not for the purpose of engaging other countries in armed combat. That government's grand strategy is an extension of its regional strategy, and its regional strategy is economically oriented and focused on building economic interdependence.
