Hello everyone.

I joined the navy in June as an IT, and i ship out in april.

A month ago, i got a call from my recruiter telling me that CTI became available, and wanted me to take the DLAB for it.

I took the DLAB and got a 110, then did my IFA so they could switch me into CTI.

Last Monday (8/26), my recruiter said that he got a fax saying that i had been approved for CTI.

I was curious how long it normally take to get a contract at this point, and if there is still a chance i wont get CTI at all.

Any information on this process would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks everyone.

Go navy!

You don't get a new contract. When you ship out you will sign the final contract and the new annex which documents the school change. Just make sure the change is there and you are good to go on the date scheduled to go back to MEPS to ship out.

did you have to actually pass the IFA to switch or did you just have to complete it?
