Eyes and ears open and mouth shut. Just remember there's a reason when your told to do something so do it to the best of your ability. And don't listen to rumors.
USS Liberty, Never Forget.
I believe in Murrays Law, he thought Murphy was an optimist.
Just remember that your time in boot camp is only temporary. Boot camp was pretty much one of the crappiest times of my life so far, but I just remembered that after it was over I'd get to go to A-school and get a good job. Just do what they tell you no matter how pointless it seems. You'll be folding so many clothes (time which could have been better spent imo), but only by doing everything they tell you can you get into the Navy. You're likely to get sick and still have to do the crap they tell you. It will end though and you'll be glad you st*** in there. Good l*** and don't give up. You'll regret giving up if you do.
I was 17 years old, 5'10" and 125 pounds when I reported to USMC boot camp and I made it. As long as you do what you are told as quickly as you can you will be just fine. Go for it!
While in boot it seems like the time never ends and you want to give up. Don't! Push yourself to the limit and beyond. When getting your a** handed to you, don't take it personal, it happens to everyone and the DI's are there to break you down and rebuild you. Just remember, it's only the beginning of what is one of the best moves of your life, and try to enjoy it. Oneday you will look back on it as a good memory! Trust me!
