ok im 17 and in my Senior year, i recently joined the Navy and Scored a 66 on my asvab test, i got a job i didnt want and i wanted to switch it, i get my driver license in a few months so i think i should be able to get the Ma job which i want, can you guys give me some info on the job and if ill be able to get it please??
From what I've heard, MA is a pretty tight rating. That means it is either at or above the required manning levels. Of course that's not to say it is impossible to get, but you should check with your recruiter as soon as possible and let him/her know that is what you want to do.
If you can't change your rate prior to coming in, once you get to your duty station you can put in a request to change your rate, most of the time you detailor likes you to serve in your rate for atleast two years before changing (crossrating). But just give you job a chance you my find that you like it. Good l***!
