DH is an Ex FC stationed on Board SOUTH CAROLINA( ex CGN? I know it was a Nuke something or other) , KIDD(ex DDG 993) and for a whopping like ten days, ROSS. WDS and Tomahawk. I'll ask him to stop by this afternoon( 1500 ish EST, his bedtime where he's currently at).

This is the best answer anyone can really give you.
CIWS guys are almost always doing some sort of maintenance on the system - especially in port. Upside of this is that they get the broadest exposure to all aspects of the rating.
Tomahawk guys do a lot of paperwork and database management stuff as a function of their NEC.
AEGIS guys are a different breed altogether. I didn't work on AEGIS, so not a lot of insight on what they do in port.
Underway, figure a 5-6 hour watch, either staring at a radar screen, a computer monitor, or some other console. Add in some routine maintenance duties, divisional training, sweepers, sleep (always a highly regarded option for off-watch hours) and you get the picture I hope.

The only time the FCs on my ship stood watch was under Condition III. If we weren't at Condition III, you could find all the FCs and GMs either in their rack, on the mess decks, or in the crew's lounge watching movies.
As a FTG and FC up until E6 1977 to 1983 I was a ASROC Security Rover underway and in port. On the last Destroyer I was on as a Chief 1987 to 1991, the guys stood After Steering watch and security watch...
