I have been in the process of trying to get back on active duty. Recruiters have ordered original service jacket on cd-rom to start the re-enlistment. Has anyone been through this? I am working on 7 weeks now ,waiting on the cd-rom to be sent from Tennessee toa recruiter and still their is nothing. How long does all this take. I guess the question is do prior service Navy personnel get back in or not? Maybe find a different recruiter...I do not know hat to do to speed this process.

What does another recruiter have to do with getting the people in TN off thier duffs and getting the info to the present recruiter?
Are you a NAVET or an OSVET? I'm coming from the Air Force. When I talked to my recruiter, they started the initial paperwork, and let me know what they needed from myself. I kicked my self in the butt for not having copies of my evals and I was missing my DD 214 long form. I ended up having to make requests to get my copies. My recruiter didn't want a cd-rom, but I guess each is different. I just gave them copies of my evals, my DD-214, and all the other information they requested. I'm going to MEPS tomorrow morning. Who is sending the cd-rom?
Oh tell me, it has really been a nightmare. This recruiter was given my DD214 with an excellent RE Code and still wanted to order records on a CD Rom. DD214 not good enough. I am waiting now going on 8 weeks for a simple disc to be sent to a recruiter who states she has a contact in TN. Still no word on anything it seems that she she calls. I am glad the previous Prior Service is going back in so fast. Wish mine would have been. Dont know what to do. I guess pull from this recruiter, as I have heard that recruiters really do not like dealing with us prior guys. Thanks for nice reply by the Air Force guy. I guess I would just expect a little more follow up from a recruiter which has never called one time in 8 weeks, just simple emails. Always claims , still waiting...
