Only officers have rank in the Navy. Enlisted have paygrades and serve in ratings, the combination of which is a rate. Your rate will be Seaman Recruit, Airman Recruit or Fireman Recruit (white, baby blue or red stripes respectively).
Pick up another nine hours of more of college before entering and you can get E-2.

You guys always forget about the green side. He coud be constructionman recruit too,
I didn't forget about you, I just couldn't remember constructionman and knew the odds are that he won't be one. I think we had one when I went through boot camp. But back then we all graduated as an E-2 or higher (yeah, I'm old).

I was told if you have at GED you need 15 college credits to be equivalent to a diploma. That you would need an additional 24 to satisfy advanced pay rate.
