I need some advice from the best.My issue is this. Last November I did my asvab got a 93 and then went on to medical where I got DQ because I was pregnant. I didnt know at the time and then a week later I had my period. I figured it was just a fluke so I didnt go to the doctors (plus I had no insurance). Now I am trying to get in and MEPS is giving me a hard time. The doctor stated he needs pathology reports which I had none to give him except my PAP that I did this year. My question is this, is there anyone higher than him that I can go through to get back on track and enlist? Any help would be appreciated as I am very anxious to join.

Did you submit your PAP results to MEPS? Did you have a miscarriage or what?

I am assuming I had a miscarriage because I had my period the week following MEPS and since I didnt have insurance I didnt go get checked out so I figured it was a false positive.I submitted the PAP results as well as a physical I had last month which he requested then he wrote back saying I needed to submit a letter attesting to what I said which I did then he wrote back saying he needs pathology reports. I feel like hes just giving me the run around. Why cant I just retest or do the physical again or they can examine me to see if Im being truthful instead of giving me the runaround.

They may be asking for more documentation because they don't get false positives. The military does blood tests for pregnancy, not urine, which is much more accurate.

They did not do a blood pregnancy test on me to determine I was pregnant. They did the urine and told me I was pregnant because it showed increased HCG levels. Either way if I have no documentation to give them does this now mean I cant join? They are asking for something I cant give.

There really isn't such a thing as a false positive (unless you are using what are called blue line tests which are notorious for being wrong).
It was probably a chemical pregnancy- the fertilized egg tries to implant and produce hcg but never completely does. They are very, very common. I would call your OB and tell them the situation. They can probably give you some documentation about chemical pregnancies that might satisfy MEPS.

Um........FYI, Meps does NOT do a blood test for pregnancy, they make you go to the restroom, door open, and submit the test in front of a physician. They take blood for STD's Aids and such.

The reason the door is open is for drugs testing. Nothing to do with pregnancy ther at all. Your entire career you will submit drug tests the same way. It ensures you're not altering the sample.

Lets see....I've been pregnant before while in and been around those who got ELS's for pregnancy, or DQ'd just at MEPS for pregnancy. They initially test the urine and then test the blood to ensure the urine test is correct before they act. They NEVER rely on the urine test for pregnancy.

I've seen this happen before. Since you were pregnant you have to wait a mandatory six months even if you had a baby or a miscarriage. If you don't have any paperwork a typical handwritten statement should work.
