Anybody know any hard numbers to how long a Prior Service E-4/IT3 would have to wait?

I'm was IRR but it expired this past mid-June. I only did four years. Went through MEPS a month afterwards late July. Passed everything. Had a some type of clearance Secret/TS/or TSI.

I LIVE in the backyard of the Navy (Millington) and I can't get in. I'm even waiting for SK to open up (I'll take anything!) But my recruiter across Navy Rd told me to wait til FY10. Its now the 5th.

Don't want to bug her. But I'm gettin antsy!

Type in prior service in the find feature for the bad news. There isn't much of or any quota for priors right now. The new kids are waiting a year in some cases.
The reserves may be a better chance to get back in.

We have some right here on military.com that have been trying for over a year so get back in, so if you just started the process this past June/July, to them you are probably a 'boot' to the process.

Until Congress gets off its collective arse and passes an agreed upon defense budget and the various services then get a better idea of what they may or may not be allowed to do when if comes to personnel...guess what.....you and many more before you may still be waiting.

As of 1 Oct 2009 there is no longer any such rating. They merged SK and PC into the LS rating.
