Hello I'd like to know once i get to meps, and talk to the career counselor, can I ask him to show me all of the ship dates to bootcamp for, say, the top 2 or 3 rates im thinking about joining? Reason being, i'd like to choose the shortest wait time in DEP. Does anyone knoe present wait times for MA ( Master at arms)and/or AZ (Aviation maintenance. administrationman) Thank you, Daniel

Lesson one for today;
Whereas neither MA nor AZ are 'rates' but in fact are 'ratings', the classifier at MEPS may have a hard time helping you at all.
MA has one of the longest waiting times right now.. IF it will be even offered to you at all.
the avereage person is waiting at least 6-9 months..and more like 9-12 before they can ship out.. for just about every rating. theones that are shipping the quickest are ALSO the hardest to qualify for.
