I'm currently exploring my possibilities for military service - as I'm nearing the time that I would need to apply for ROTC scholarships, if I decided to go that route. I'm interested in every brach, however, I'm specifically looking at Reserve or Guard duty.
I live in San Diego now, but I will be going to college on North New Jersey (hopefully), and be staying with family up there.
My first question regarding the USNR is: Can you commission directly into the USNR through NROTC or OCS? (Or do you have to have active duty experience first?)
Second, can anyone point me to a USNR unit locator? Or, if you would know off hand - are there any units in or around North NJ?
