Not sure if these videos have been posted here before, but I thought some on here might like to watch these:

Part 1: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qd7_yp0Hkwc

Part 2: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y3WopRtV2F4

Edit: These are definitely older, the videos still show Service Week, which is now discontinued. Still neat videos, though.

These are great videos, but does anyone have any idea where there are also other videos about RTC that might be of newer quality?

I hope to god its more physically demanding then that. They didn't look like they were exerting any sort of effort. To each their own I suppose. Thanks for the vids.

I guess I was just lucky...I did not see any videos before I swore in, however they would not have changed my mind because I did my homework. I just thought it was humorous. There is nothing like jumping down the rabbit hole from Civ to DEP.

When I went to MEPS, they were out of everything but the hat, and it's got a crooked bill. Frown

Most probably already know but, in terms of wanting to know what boot camp is like I was recently informed of a book called "Honor, Courage, Commitment - Navy Boot Camp" It should be at your local Borders or Barnes and Noble. So if your willing to drop $30 bucks I think its worth it. I'm going to get my own this week actually.

I DEP'ed in Sat and got the Bag(with the planner and booklet guide...cd-rom/bumper sticker/postcards) and a Shirt that eats me alive. They weren't kidding when they said XXL and Property of the Navy!

I was exhausted when I got back home and a best friend picked me up, dragged me off to dinner and a movie then wal-mart(she needed something) while there I was idly looking in the fabrics and saw this fleece section and what did they have, a Navy blanket...so I bought the material and had my first experience of explaining to a Civilian how I joined the Navy.

At least these videos give you a little humor. I can only imagine it's going to be tougher(yet everyone keeps saying Basic is easy). Shipping out May 27th
