I signed up for 5 years and I have been in for a year already just going to school. I have orders to my next duty station for three years. What I'm asking is, what will I do for my last year? Will I have to stay at my duty station for another year, or will they send me someplace else?

They will probably make you stay at your current duty stations. However, I beleive you could re-enlist at your 4 year point for 3 additional years. You would have a total of 7 years then.

By doing this, you would gain $$$ for falling into Zone "A" SRB, and you would obligate for additional years so you would meet most DOD tour requirements for most duty stations. And you would also qualify for the "Guard 3" program which allow you much better choices in duty stations.

Yes, I know, what does all that mean. Use the "Find" feature for Guard 3, and SRB... If you can't find it, just ask...

Typically, your first duty station is where you stay for your entire first hitch. You would typically negotiate for shore orders as a reenlistment perk.
