When a recruit has college education from overseas, who's responsability is it to have the college credits evaluated into the American education system: recruit or recruiter?
This seems obvious to me but I could be wrong. Do you really want a recruiter getting your college credits evaluated? If I had a degree from a college outside the United States and I wanted it to be evaluated for military purposes I would take the initiative and do it myself. Nobody cares about you like you do. With that being said do not get into the habit of trusting others with your life when it is something you can do for yourself.
You have to get them translated if they are not in English. You can then submit to a local college and get a letter from them regarding how many credits they will give you. ALternatively your recruiter can submit them through his education specialist for review but you have to include the translation.
If i have official evoluation from evoluation company...is it still posible that is wont be aproved by education specialist...according 2 my evoluation i have 82 credits and my recruiter tells me im only the high school diploma aproved so far..is it possible?
I have the same problem with my college credits evaluation. I turned in all my paperwork to my recruiter about a month ago, and still didn't get any answer. My recruiter told me there is only one educational specialist for the whole east coast. This might be a reason why it takes so long. On the other hand, other DEPers are getting their evaluations in a two-tree day period...
I had my transcripts translated and evaluated here in the US. I did not send it to any Colleges. I just sent it to a professional credential evaluation company.
After my recruiter sent my paper work to the educational specialist, I had to wait for about 6 weeks to hear something back.
