Hi, I'm 20 years old and I've been thinking of joining the U.S. Navy. Currently, I'm studying to get a higher ASVAB score. I took the test in high school but my score is low, I didn't take it seriously and I wasn't planning on joining the military back then.

I don't have a problem solving math problems and all but I'm having a hard time defining deep words, since English isn't my native language. But I can speak it clearly and understand it.

I was also naturalized two months ago, that means I am now a U.S. citizen. I've read somewhere that U.S. citizens have more options to choose from, etc. That's why I didn't think twice and applied right away.

Now, my questions: Is it true that the U.S. Navy is overmanned? Does that mean that if I visit my recruiter today, he'd just tell me to come back some other time or something? I'd like to take the ASVAB as soon as possible before I forget all the things I've read. Also, am I too old to join? I have more questions to ask, but I just can't think of any right now. Well, that's it for now. Thanks!
