I posted a question on this before. I enlisted on April 18th, and I didn't get all my information from my loan holders until June 13th, which was this last Friday. I'm no longer in my recruiter's area, as I came home for the summer from college, so I emailed him all the stuff that remained. I called a bunch of times, and just this morning he said he finally faxed it in. Well, today is the 19th, and it's definitely past the 60 day grace period you have from when you enlist to send your documents in. But my recruiter is confident that it won't be a big deal, and that if any problems arise, he's gonna "take care of it." I like my recruiter, he's a great guy, and I'm pretty sure he's well connected with higher-ups, but nevertheless this worries me. If my loans aren't approved because I was past the deadline, then I'm gonna lose out on $12,000 that I'll have to pay out of my own pocket and have just squandered a huge educational benefit.
Does anyone know what their leniency with these sorts of things is?

Hi Mike,

I'm helping my kid who is in DEP get the LRP thing done. Call this number 901-874-7436 - a very nice guy named John who has the power to extend the timeframe will help you immensly. I just got off the phone with him and my stress level is much lower.

Have a great friday.

Hey thanks a lot guys. This phone number would have probably taken 10 people to get through, knowing the bureaucracy that is the U.S. Navy. I left a message, and hopefully I'll get a call back today.

My LRP got approved today!!! I'm all set with everything now, and waiting for an earlier ship date.

I just want to say thank you very much peedee24 for your advice. Mr. John Clement told me everything I needed to do and extended my deadline so the LRP could be approved.
