Hey I'm just looking for some info on the GSE rank I already have my job card and know the basic info on it but im looking for more of a day to day life after "a" school

Like said you will have to qualify to stand engineroom watches while underway. But, you wont be assigned to an engineroom(But if you work hard, and get qualled in the engineroom, you can start working on the CCS watches, which are in the Air Conditioned Central Control Station). You will have your own shop, and your maintenance will consist of mainly electrical/controls area of the plant. Lots of testing, and checking to make sure things are running right. You dont have alot of the grunt-work like us GSM's do, but occasionally youll be calle don to help out. Its a really good rate for when you get out.

Because of the good skills you learn. They arent skills you can normally learn in college.
