I scored a 88 and depped in as a HM shipping out next June. My recruiter talked me into joining in as HM 1st and he will change my job soon to one of az,yn,sk,ln,ps,rp. (My color deficiency blocks me from other jobs.)

Three months after depping in, no jobs of that sorts were ever opened.

Anyways, could it be my recruiter lied to get me to sign the contract and/or no working hard enough to get me the jobs or is it really there isnt many job openings? thx~

Highly doubtful your recruiter lied just to get you to sign, the reason there are no jobs available is because there are plenty of people signing up to take them. Basically there is no reason to lie to you just to get you to sign up.

There is another thread discussing that there are no jobs available and people are qualified to join, but don't have a job to pick from, consider yourself lucky you do have one. As for the other ratings, only so many do open up and you may have to wait, but don't think it is the recruiter not working for you. Also the recruiter has more recruits than just you too as well as their own personal life to manage. Fill your paperwork out for a DAR to switch to another job and be patient and wait.

you still got a long wait, Jobs could always open up. But also remember when your in DEP your not in the actually navy yet you can choose not to go until your second trip to meps where you officaly swear into your contract and then leave to bootcamp.
