Since the Navy has started issuing the new Navy NWU (Blue Cammies) in bootcamp, I thought I'd post this for you deppers to get familiar with what they look like and how they are worn...

EDIT: For some reason the direct link got chopped off. Here is the link again, sorry about the orginal faulty link ~http://www.npc.navy.mil/NR/rdonlyres/56003C64-95DF-4B98-B496-45A8DECDF8BE/0/NWUFINAL.wmv

Sure is an error.
Next thing the new recruits are going to want Calvin Klein to design their uniforms.

Try the below link and then on the right, under "Navy Uniform" it is the top one on the list.
Large file, over 39mb's so if on dial-up, don't bother.

Some of the video could have been dispensed with and finished up the part on rolling sleeves. My question is what are you supposed to do with the cover when indoors? You can't crush, roll or stick it anywhere (officially).

Sorry guys, I was on a business trip and didn't see that I had a faulty link. I edited my orginal post to show the correct link.

Mods, I know I can directly link the video since it's a navy.mil video but when you do, the video link gets hammered....So don't edit the link.

Your supposed to carry it. But a lot of people I know have been tucking it into the back of their pants and covering it with the blouse.

Wow they still have watch caps? The only time I was allowed to wear mine was in boot camp. No other command allowed us to wear them. No matter how freakin cold it was outside.

I just graduated on the 26th and was the 2nd division to be issued the digitals. I must say they are nice to wear especially since you don't have to iron them at all!! The boots they issue with them are the worst and take a long time to break in. The 8 point cover is better than the Navy ball cap too. As far as rolling the sleves, you have to do it in the summer time but after summer you will have long sleves again. Never had to wear the watch cap yet but it got all stretched out in boot camp because they make you roll up your leather gloves in the watch cap for stowage in your locker.

All in all it is a nice uniform except for the fact that the buttons fall off easily and break in the laundry.
