What kind of stuff will automatically disqualify me on the security clearance? Like people I know, things I’ve done, things I haven’t done. And also, this is just for trivia but what was the fastest anyone has gotten dolphins. I appercate all of you for your service and advice I’ve been given.

Oh yeah and some chief at the recruiter’s office(a seabee) said the closest thing to action I’ll see is a beeping light on a screen. That’s when I realized the submarine force is doing a good job ,no one notices them all.

Democracy will survive until the government figures out it can bribe the people with their own money.

Lying about your background and the investigators finding out.

Also depends, are you getting secret or top secret? With secret, they investigate the essentials (criminal, financial, etc). Top secret they send investigators out to interview your family members, friends, former employers, etc. in addition to the essentials.

Don't worry about how fast you qualify but how well you know your stuff. Remember, other peoples lives depend on you knowing your quals, it's not just wearing the dolphins. Smile

You might want to give your family, friends, and neighbors a heads-up - the feds will interview everybody, especially neighbors and friends. So, as others have said on this site, "don't lie."

I had a friend join a few years before me. He was a RM and I had to go thru the same SBI as an ET. Not only will they question the reference list you provide they will ask those people for more names. As the others have said: DO NOT LIE. There are things that can be explained but if they find out you tried to hide stuff then you are out of luck.

I've seen two DQ factors on an SSBI. 1: having foreign family and friends... 2: Having a mail-order bride or foreign wife... I've seen both get hammered. One dude actually was processed out for it. I've also seen guys lose their clearance for huge debt... They don't want a repeat of Johnny Walker. Also seen a guy get booted when he got married while over seas. Wife had ties to the Sicilian mob...

As far as the action thing.... I hit both of the recent conflicts just right and put 49 T-hawk warheads on foreheads... It's just luck of the draw... AND NEVER LET A SEABEE TELL YOU ABOUT ACTION!!! What do they know?

I saw the same thing subwarrior on my first boat. We had a knothead in my division who STARed for E5 and got a big bonus. He and his wife proceeded to blow all the money and then declare bankrupcy. That took away his clearance.
