im in DEP and i requested a active waiver with my recruiter. he told me that they waivered it. is this correct? so will i be going in as active duty?
Also, when you go to MEPS on ship date, you sign alot of papers? and i should make sure that im signing to be active right? This message has been edited. Last edited by: Sangxlee, |

I can't answer your first question, thats something you have to see in writing.
As for the second question, don't sign anything unless you've read it first and its what you think it is. In other words it plainly states that its an active duty contract. USS Liberty, Never Forget. I believe in Murrays Law, he thought Murphy was an optimist. |

keyword "request". you only switch to active if the Navy NEEDS you to go active. There are plenty on here who hae tried and been denied because the Navy doesnt need more active sailors. |
