I am looking into the Navy Reserves. I am currently a police officer in Houston. I have a few questions I would like to ask you guys. I do have a appointment with a recruiter on Monday. I want go in my meeting knowing what I am talking about to make a good impression.

1, Are their any special programs for police officers that puts them directly into the Master of Arms rate?

2, A fellow officer of mine mentioned he did the reserves a few years back as an IS and he did not have to go through boot camp.

How is this possible? He is not prior service.

3, My only concern is time. How long will the entire initial training take?

Thank you?

1. Yes direct procurement enlistment and a few other programs.
2. Old APG program no longer available.
3. 2 months bootcamp plus MA "A" school.
