i have one charge of maryjane, and it happened one month after i turned 18 (just my luck, ya know?!), and i saw on about.com that MA's cant have history of drug abuse, but if they look at the whole person, they'll see that it was ten years ago, and i have since gone to college, proven myself, and have become a teacher. will this weigh heavy enough to the Navy to grant a clearance to become an MA?

They will have to request the waiver and then you just wait until it comes back approved or not. Calling it a charge of Maryjane doesnt sound like your past it. Was this possesion, sale?

If you have been convicted of a drug abuse offense you are not eligible for MA. No waiver authorized.
